Council of the Township of Whitewater Region heard a motion to approve the additional appointment of Osiah Horst to the Seniors & Older Adult Task Force.
Clerk Carmen Miller said this would be the last appointment ‘for now”.
“Mr. Horst has lived in Westmeath for some time now. He’s active in the farmer’s market, and he helped with the flooding in 2019.” referring to his work in the WRDA Disaster Relief Committee during the flooding.
“I think he will be an asset to the committee.”
Mr. Horst moved to the Westmeath area in 1981.
Reeve Regier asked if his name should be there in the item, which Carmen Miller confirmed would be in the bylaws.
The motion was carried.
