Several vehicles struck in parking lot collision

RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — On the afternoon of July 3, 2019 at approximately 3 p.m. members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision in a parking lot at a restaurant on Pembroke Street West in the City of Pembroke.

A vehicle driven by an 87-year-old female from Pembroke collided with four unoccupied parked cars and a sign post before coming to rest on the lawn of the business. 

The driver had experienced a medical issue and was taken to hospital by ambulance for an assessment, she was not otherwise injured from the collisions.

The driver’s license to drive will be subject to a medical review. Charges are not anticipated.
