RENFREW COUNTY (Killaloe) — An investigation into a sexual assault that had occurred at residence in the in the Township of Madawaska Valley began on Friday, May 1, by members of the Ontario Provincial Police, Renfrew County Crime Unit.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged a 73 year old from Madawaska Valley Township. The accused was charged with the Criminal Code (CC) offences of three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm; three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm or ammunition; sexual assault; and bestiality.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Killaloe on August 12. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
