Westmeath residents can now skate or enjoy a friendly game of hockey at the new ice rinkat the Westmeath boat launch. Some local residents have decided to clear andmaintain a hockey ice pad and a skating path for community use. It’s a great way toget the kids outside and active while building community spirit. With frostytrees and beautiful Ottawa River sunsets, this is the perfect place to enjoythe great outdoors this winter.
The park is lit so it can be enjoyed day or night and there is a bench provided to lace up your skates.
It’s also a perfect spot for ice fishing.
Everyone is welcome to use the park at their own risk. The only request is that users be respectful and clean up after themselves.
