WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) This summer at Little Lakes in Beachburg, the Township of Whitewater Region will be providing swimming lessons and registration begins soon.

“The program length will be between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the level,” said Jordan Durocher, manager of Recreation and Tourism.

The last week of July will be used for rain dates. “We will provide the programming in the rain but we won’t with thunderstorms or lightening,” said Mr. Durocher.

Anyone over two years of age is welcome to register for the three week series. Different levels, including preschool, will be available and registration will be required.

Four different registration dates will be held throughout the region and two certified lifeguards were hired in April for this year.

Lesson fees have been set at $65 plus HST for private swimming lessons and $45 plus HST for regular swimming lessons. August registration will commence the last week of July.
