The Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approved the 2021 tax rates based on the revised tax levy of $6,004,056.
“Whitewater Region is very heavily reliant on residential weighted corporate value assessment.” Treasurer Sean Crozier said.
He said that the tax rate was up overall 2.1%. He said that a home would see an increase of 61.63 in property taxes in this Whitewater region this year.
“The township would have .54 of every dollar.” Treasurer Sean Crozier said.
The motion was carried without questions.
