The Muskrat Watershed Council (MWC) is proud to announce the launch of its new website http://www.muskratwatershedcouncil.com
The new website was developed by Charlie Quinn, a graduate from the Graphic Design program at Algonquin College.
The new website contains information about the MWC’s mission and strategic plan, and offers a glimpse into the many projects implemented over the years in collaboration with Algonquin College’s waterfront campus to improve water quality in the Muskrat Lake Watershed.
Visitors will learn about our many generous partners and donors. Media articles and newsletters about our activities are also featured, as well as monthly meeting minutes and information on upcoming events.
The water quality data collected by Algonquin College’s Environmental Technician students and analyzed by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change will be available on the website by summer 2017. This will also include maps and other pertinent information for all of the sampling sites – so visit our website regularly for updates!
Of special note is information on how to donate to support the Muskrat Watershed Council’s efforts, such as the current campaign to support Algonquin College professor Sarah Hall as she swims the length of Muskrat lake (16km) on June 17, 2017 https://www.gofundme.com/swim-for-the-lake
We hope you will take a few minutes to check out our new website and learn more about the Muskrat Watershed Council and its efforts.
