PEMBROKE — Craft beer enthusiasts and craft brewers will be united once again in the Ottawa Valley. On October 20, 2018 the Fourth Annual Ottawa Valley Craft Beer Festival will take place at the Best Western Pembroke Inn and Conference Centre. Ten breweries from the Valley, Ottawa, and the surrounding areas will be pouring at this year’s event with classic beers and new brews in tow. The festival will also offer a sangria option for non-beer drinkers, non-alcoholic options, and some delicious grub courtesy of Westwinds Restaurant.
This year, a portion of the festival’s proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society’s breast cancer research and support services.
“We believe in creating events that bring people together here in the Valley and also allow us to support local community initiatives, and the Ottawa Valley Craft Beer Festival is one way we’re able to do that,” said festival co-owner Jessica Khouri-Charysz states,
Taking place from 1 to 11 p.m., the Ottawa Valley Craft Beer Festival is a must attend for local craft beer enthusiasts, beer connoisseurs, and plain old beer lovers.
“What we really love about this event,” festival co-owner Katie Tollis-Flabbi said, “is that it really embodies the whole good times vibe. It’s the perfect place to come with a group of friends and just enjoy a Saturday night.”
Tickets can be purchased for $15 before the event at ovcbf.ca or at the door for $20. All tickets come with two drink tickets and an Ottawa Valley Craft Beer Festival glass, perfect to hold all the beer you’ll try that night. Good people, good food, and great beer.
