Thefts end in two arrests

 BANCROFT — In the afternoon on Friday, January 19, 2018 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the OPP responded to a theft that just took place in Hastings Highlands. Shortly after officers located the vehicle at a business on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.
As the officers attended to the vehicle, they located one male who was placed under arrest. The second male came out of the business with stolen property and was placed under arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Chad Corrin, 37 years of Pembroke, was charged with two counts of theft under $5000; possession property obtained by crime under $5000 and fail to comply with undertaking.
Also charged was Joseph Weare, 29 years of Pembroke, with two counts of theft under $5000; possession property obtained by crime under $5000 and fail to comply with undertaking.
