Three county roads within the Township of Whitewater Region could interrupt where you drive this fall.
Queens Line
The rehabilitation of County Road 4 (Queens Line) from Chenaux Road to Foresters Falls Road has begun and will continue until mid-October.
During construction, the road will remain open to traffic. Motorists can expect minor delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane at times.
Please note, the speed limit has been reduced to 50 kilometres an hour. Please drive carefully and obey the posted speed limit.
Magnesium Road
The rehabilitation of County Road 48 (Magnesium Road) from Cheanux Road to Queens Line has commenced and will continue until mid-October.
During construction, the road will remain open to traffic, but there could be minor delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane at times.
Main Street in Cobden
The rehabilitation of County Road 8 (Main Street) in Cobden will occur from the abandoned CPR crossing easterly to Highway 17 on Monday, Sept. 12 and is expected to continue until early October.
During construction, the road will remain open to traffic, however, motorists can expect minor delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane at times
It’s important drivers remain cautious in the construction zones when work is being done in the area they are driving.
Speed fines are doubled when workers are present in construction zones.
