Traffic stop leads to drug charges against a Whitewater Region man

WESTMEATH – On the evening of Tuesday, September 27, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP conducted a traffic stop of a GMC pickup truck on Rapid Road in Westmeath, in the Township of Whitewater Region.
The adult male driver was found to be in possession of drugs contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
As a result 33-year-old Johnathan Wiesenberg-Moss of the Township of Whitewater Region is charged with the following CDSA offences:
* Produce a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
* Traffick a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
* Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
Mr. Wiesenberg-Moss was released on a Promise To Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, October 25.
