Two women charged following incident at Value Village in Pembroke

PEMBROKE – Two Pembroke women have been charged with Criminal Code offences following an incident at Value Village in Pembroke on Friday, January 12.
On the afternoon of that day, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to a shoplifting complaint from Value Village on Pembroke Street West in the City of Pembroke. Police quickly located two female suspects on foot a short distance from the store and both were taken into custody.
Stolen items, including clothing and personal accessories, were recovered by police.
Leslie Lorraine Thompson, 37, is charged with Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and Fail to comply with probation. She was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, February 20.
Brianna Lynn Saker, 36, is charged with Theft under $5000. She was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the same court on Tuesday, February 27.
