WHITEWATER REGION — The Township of Whitewater Region is currently accepting applications for the annual volunteer appreciation awards. Residents are encouraged to submit nominations for consideration. The nominees should be volunteers who the applicant feels should be recognized for their ongoing contributions to the community.
An application form can be found on the Township’s website at www.whitewaterregion.ca. Download the form, fill it out and send it by email to [email protected] with “Volunteer Appreciation Award Nomination” in the subject line.
The submission material listed on the website details the following guidelines: Submit a brief letter, less than 500 words and typewritten if possible, which describes the volunteer activities and why the individual being nominated deserves to be recognized for their contributions; and Submit the goals and activities of the organization who the nominee volunteers to assist. Please be advised the information contained in this letter will be considered by the Township and if the nominee is chosen, the information will be used to produce the recognition information.
It is noted that the Award of any nominee is at the sole discretion of the Township. If chosen, the recipient and a guest will be given a ticket to attend the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon where the recipient will be recognized.
