Pembroke teen charged with mischief

RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — On July 2, the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began investigating an occurrence of criminal mischief at a Town of Petawawa park located at the corner of Murphy Road and Petawawa Boulevard in the Town of Petawawa. Town staff called police to report that two deer statutes in the park had been significantly damaged between July 1 and July 2.

As a result of this investigation a 15-year-old from Pembroke has been charged with one count of mischief over $5000 under the Criminal Code. The Young Person has been summonsed for the offence and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Youth Division – in Pembroke on September 19.
