PEMBROKE, ON — On Thursday May 9, 2019 at approximately 5: 00 p.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of unidentified human remains that were located in the Ottawa River, in the Township of Laurentian Valley.
The Office of the Chief Coroner, the OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit are continuing to investigate this incident. There is no risk to public safety.
