Upper Ottawa Valley OPP to participate in Road Safety Week

UPPER OTTAWA VALLEY OPP SET TO PARTICIPATE IN CANADA ROAD SAFETY WEEK
Pembroke – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP are taking part in the annual Canada Road Safety Week which runs from May 17th to May 23rd.
The seven-day campaign is a collaborative effort by Canadian Police Services which targets high risk driving behaviours that puts road users at risk. OPP officers will be highly visible in the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment area while paying specific attention to the “The Big 4” which, in terms of personal injury collision causation are impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving and lack of occupant restraint.
Detachment Commander Mark Wolfe said, “Our detachment continues to be focused on the safety of our community, our visitors and those travelling through the Upper Ottawa Valley. Our commitment to Canada Road Safety Week demonstrates our dedication to making our local roadways safe for all users.”
