WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) – “How do you protect the first worker up on the roof?” “Can I use a ladder to install a satellite dish?” “How can I rescue a fallen worker if I do not have a ladder or a scissor lift?”
These and other questions will be answered during the Valley WorkSafe Working at Heights Workshop at the Cobden Agricultural Hall, from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, March 28. It will feature presenters from Ministry of Labour, Renfrew County Paramedics, Office of the Worker Advisor, Office of the Employer Advisor and Tenaquip Industrial Solutions.
Valley WorkSafe is proud to bring the Working at Heights Workshop for the first time. The Working at Heights Workshop provides Renfrew County contractors and employees an opportunity to increase their knowledge regarding working at heights regulations, rescue plans, suspension trauma, fall protection equipment and legal advice for employers and non-unionized workers.
