Last Wednesday evening in Petawawa, many of Renfrew County’s volunteers were present to receive the 2015 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards. The Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade sponsors the awards which recognize volunteers who put in five to 60-plus continuous years of service, with a certificate and an award stylized as a trillium. Youth are also recognized for two or more years of volunteer service.
