Whitewater Region — The largest billboard in Renfrew County draws your attention to the New Cogeco Fibre Optic Broadband Service installed in the Whitewater Industrial Park.
In October council passed a by-law, setting the asking price of $8000 per acre. A large sign is being designed to promote the sale price of the industrial zoned property on Greenwood Road.
Construction businesses in Whitewater Region can have a small space on this billboard at the front of the Whitewater Industrial Park to put an ad for their business. There is no cost for the space, so the only expense to the business is the physical sign itself. There will be room for approximately 30 small ads. The first 30 businesses will get these spots.
The ads are not designed to be read from the road. Anyone who stops to survey the property for a spot for their business will be able to read the ads for local construction businesses. These are the local businesses that are able to build or maintain their business facility.
Whitewater’s Entrepreneurship Development Co-ordinator Andrew Kenny said, “There have been at least four inquiries about industrial park properties, but there was some work to be done to make the properties 100 per cent investment ready. Council passed a by-law that is designed to eliminate unnecessary delays in the sale procedure.”
“We have a council that really understands the needs of our business community.”
The industrial park has natural gas, three-phase power and heavy load roads in addition to the new fibre optic broadband.
