Whitewater students do well at the Renfrew County Regional Science Fair

COBDEN — Cobden District Public School was well represented at the Renfrew County Regional Science Fair held in Petawawa on Saturday, April 8.
Grade 5 student Ali Hyatt took first in Grade 6 earth and environmental science with her experiment on growing plants in LED lights vs florescent lights.
Samantha Hyatt also took first in grade 6 physical science on her project determining the best type of insulation through test studies.
Grade 8 students Joel and Justin Baycroft received the judges choice award in health sciences on their project called “an a-peeling” fruit sensation which investigated what is the best way to prevent browning in bananas.
Grade 12 Opeongo High School student David Bell placed first in the senior division with his project on physics of geology.
