COBDEN — The 2016 remuneration for Whitewater Region council members totalled $113,342.10. However, of that amount, $10,158 was paid by the Ontario Power River Corporation.
The honourariums totalled $100,721 while expenses totalled $12,621.10.
Expenses include mileage and all conference and workshop exenses.
Mayor Hal Johnson received a total of $25,481.62. This includes the honourarium of $17,453, expenses of $2,984.62 and an honourarium paid by the ORPC of $5,044.
Each of the councillors and the reeve received an honourarium of $12,185 plus expenses.
Reeve Terry Millar received $14,197.69, which included $2,012.69 in expenses.
Councillor Dave Mackay received $14,713.78, which included $2,528.78 in expenses.
Councillor Chris Olmstead received $14,205.28, which included $2,020.28 in expenses.

Councillor Daryl McLaughlin received $13,816.85, which included $1,631.85 in expenses.
Councillor Cathy Regier received $13,426.87, which included $1,241.87 in expenses.
Councillor Charlene Jackson received $12,386.01, which included $201.01 in expenses.
Bernie Tracey, who represents council on the Ottawa River Power Corporation board, received an honourarium from that corporation in the amount of $5,114.
