The expression just seems to evoke the exuberant wild west and I think it every time I visit Horse Country just a short gallop from Rafters at the Wilderness Tours Resort. A few years ago, I was approached by Walter Willet and Jason Daley about setting up their new business, Horse Country Campground at WT. They explained there are many horse owners with small acreage, enough land stable a horse but not enough to ride. Their dream is now a reality with horses and cowboys and girls in abundance. It’s so successful that Wilderness Tours and Horse Country are finalists in the Ottawa Tourism Awards Night next week. Wish us luck and come ride with us this summer.
