Planner Ivan Burton presented a zoning by-law amendment for Lot 19 Westmeath Concession 9 EML Pleasant Valley Road, and to “Authorize the execution of a Development Agreement with 2269805 Ontario Inc. to implement the aggregate impact assessment and environmental impact assessment. “

The lot was 79 acres with a 650 metre frontage, and is to place a residential dwelling on the land.

Burton said that some additions would be a warning to future occupants of noise and dust from surrounding aggregate extraction and for the occupant to

The Kathryn Curry from JP2G Consulting, applying on behalf of David Poisson, the owner of the property.

Councillor Neil Nicholson asked where the Desjardins and O’Brien pits were were, which Ivan Burton clarified.

Councillor Nicholson also asked if the length of property in front of the lands were part of the land, which Burton confirmed it was.

He asked if the land could be further severed, which Burton said that the plan allowed for it, but that he didn’t ‘think it was the intent of the owner.”

Burton said it would have to be considered as part of an expanded aggregate assessment.

He asked if it any aggregate extraction was determined to be present on the land or if there was any aggregate present.

“It’s unfeasible, if you will.” Burton clarified.

Councillor Daryl McLaughlin asked if the conditions will be registered on the property, which Burton clarified it would be registered against the land, so that any new owners would be made aware of the conditions.

Councillor David Mackay said that it was a ‘good place to build, it’s marginal land, it’s not prime agricultural land, it’s rough. So I think it’s good”

The motion was carried.
