COBDEN — There was a lot of noise inside the Cobden Agricultural Hall as a celebration of young people was held Friday evening.
The end of year awards banquet for Renfrew County 4-H was held. There were about 250 people who attended the event to celebrate the accomplishments of the 4-H members.
In 2014, there were 23 4-H clubs, including Alternative Crops, Beachburg Dairy, Bonnechere Valley Beef Club, Cloverbuds, Gaming and Alternative Sports Club, Girls Night Out, Knitting club, Renfrew Miniature Horse, Sports Club, Upper Ottawa Valley Sheep, Westmeath Chocolate club and Zumba.
The awards night was sponsored by the Renfrew County 4-H Association and the Renfrew County Federation of Agriculture.
The evening`s meal was pizza, subs and cookies and it was sponsored by Jason Jamieson.
It was a great night with plenty of fun.
For those on Facebook, check out the Renfrew County 4-H page for the clubs starting now and in the new year.
