Council was notified of the resignation of Robert Tremblay from the position of Chief Administrative Officer at its special closed meeting of May 24. Rob’s last day will be June 24, 2022. An official announcement was made at today’s regular Council meeting.

Mr. Tremblay joined Whitewater Region in December 2016. He played an important role in the development of the Township’s 2020-2030 Strategic Plan, several operational reviews, and policy development.

Mayor Moore stated, “Rob is a valuable member of our team. We wish him the best.

Reeve Regier added, “Rob is a well-respected municipal professional who collaborated with staff, council, the community, and his colleagues across the county and the province.”

Mr. Tremblay accepted a new role with the Town of Renfrew, where he will commence employment on June 27, 2022. The vacant CAO position will be posted immediately to ensure it is filled in a timely manner.

Mr. Tremblay added, “It was an honour to serve the Township for five and a half years. I am proud of our team members who are important ambassadors and crucial to delivering services. I will continue to be a champion and cheerleader for Whitewater Region, as I know it is an excellent place to live, work and enjoy life. I am moving on to the next chapter in my career and have full confidence in the team to keep the momentum going.”
