RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — In 1989, Randy Penney took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Renfrew Victoria Hospital. Thirty years later, the list of accomplishments under his leadership is lengthy.

Randy has built relationships and fostered integration with partners, overseen renovations and expansions, established new programs and services, and along the way mentored many aspiring healthcare leaders.

Two points of pride during his tenure are the creation of employment opportunities for staff and physicians (staff increased from 125 to approximately 450), and work behind the scenes to advocate for and navigate the system on behalf of so many patients and families.

He has also worked tirelessly to ensure that RVH serves the needs of the people in our community and that the future of our community hospital is secure and sustainable.

In June, after three decades of steering the ship, Randy is stepping down as CEO of RVH and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay.

You are invited to join us on Thursday May 14 for an opportunity to honour and recognize Randy’s many contributions to our hospitals, our communities, and the healthcare sector.

The roast will take place at the RCAF Wing in Renfrew. Tickets will go on sale March 1 in the HR Department at RVH and online on the RVH Foundation website (www.rvhfoundation.com). The price is $20 per person and tickets are limited.
