WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — On October 31, Whitewater News reported, “due to the current numbers from 118 residents who have submitted the survey, it does not seem road maintenance and access to the water for recreation purposes are a priority, stated Robert Tremblay, Chief Administrative Officer. He says he has not received any written comments to-date.”
Whitewater News wishes to clarify Mr. Tremblay did not say road maintenance was not important and did not say access to the river was not a priority or in the plan. In an email to Whitewater News, he clarified his position and stated, “support for prioritizing roads for infrastructure funding scored less than the others [maintenance, assets and levels of service]. They in fact all scored high… roads are important.”
