The Bonnechere Caves in Eganville is a popular place for tourists throughout the summer months. Many people from the area have probably not ventured into the caves. Well, along with providing tours throughout the summer months, the Caves also hosts two special events. The first are two weekends of dinner in the Caves. Whitewater News editor Connie Tabbert (right) and husband Tim along with friends Leanne Splaine and Jeff Lavallee recently enjoyed the dinner in the caves. It’s a four-course delicious dinner by candlelight and a musician strumming music quietly in the background. Many people don’t know about the dinner, but reservations are hard to make. You must call the Caves on the Friday of the long weekend in May. If you don’t call by 9:10 a.m., you pretty much miss out on the dinner and each dinner sits 34 people. The other event is Music in the Caves. That is happening next month — and only about 20 people are in for each event. For information on these two spectacular events, call 613-628-2283 or visit the Bonnechere Caves website.
