RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke)– On July 17, 2019 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Pembroke Street West in Pembroke. As a result of the search warrant police located and seized a quantity of drugs.
As a result of this investigation Wayne Neil VAILLANCOURT, age 56 of Pembroke, has been charged with the following CDSA offence:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – opioid – codeine
The accused was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 13, 2019.
