Greater Madawaska Mayor remains in hospital following ATV accident

(RENFREW, ON) – The mayor of Greater Madawaska Township remains in hospital in stable condition following an ATV collision on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Officers with the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP continue to investigate the ATV collision which occurred on private property and resulted in serious injuries to 67-year-old Glenda McKay.
OPP officers responded to the call at approximately 5:50 p.m. on private property on Southside Way in the Township of Greater Madawaska. The female was operating the ATV when the ATV accelerated uncontrollably and she lost control and was ejected.
The Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
PC Patrick O’Connor is leading the investigation. No charges will be laid.
