FORESTERS FALLS – An exciting partnership between Horse Country Campground and Agribrands Purina Canada focuses attention on the important role of nutrition in maintaining healthy, happy trail horses.
Horse Country Campground is a horse camping and horseback riding destination in the Ottawa Valley. Each summer horse owners and vacationers make the journey to the 6,000-plus-acre resort and ranch for horseback riding fun near Foresters Falls.
For 2016 Agribrands Purina Canada will be providing high quality nutrition to the trail riding horses, as well as sponsoring “Purina Poker Runs” and equine nutrition seminars at a number of workshops being hosted at Horse Country this summer.
“The health and well-being of our horses is a major priority of our horseback riding program,” said Walter Willett, President of Horse Country Campground. “We are very pleased to partner with one of Canada’s leading equine nutrition and feed suppliers to provide important education on nutrition and high quality feed products.”
An important aspect of this partnership is ensuring that the hard-working trail horses at Horse Country are receiving a healthy and balanced nutritional diet thanks to Purina. The introduction of the “Purina Poker Run” events planned for June 4-5 and Sept 3-5 will encourage horse owners to have fun on the trails, receive nutritional education via the free seminars hosted by Purina, and to win some great Purina prizes.
Horse Country kicks off the summer season the May long weekend with a “De-Spook Your Horse” clinic May 21-22 and “Buckle Series” Mountain Trail Competition on Monday, May 23.
