PEMBROKE — On the morning of Tuesday, September 27, staff at the Pembroke Detachment of the OPP found a thirsty dog wandering on the police station property.
Police took the dog into custody and provided him with food and water.
The dog’s name, Brody, and the owner’s contact information were found on the dog’s collar.
It was learned that Brody’s owners were away and Brody had been left with a dog sitter in the east end of Pembroke approximately three kilometres from the police station.
By early afternoon Brody was released from custody and was returned to the dog sitter by friends of the owner.
