RENFREW – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 157 calls for service during the past weekend.

Domestic Disputes
Renfrew OPP officers responded to six domestic disputes during the past four days. No criminal offences occurred.

Breach of Probation
On Saturday September 6 at approximately 7:30 p.m. the victim reported to police that a male suspect was following them around at the Renfrew Fair. The male is currently bound by several probation orders that he not be within 100 metres of the victim. The male was located a short time later and arrested. Jerry South, 49. of Greater Napanee was arrested and charged with four counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on September 8, 2014. Provincial Constable Ryan Besner investigated.

Assault
Provincial Constable Marc Bennett is investigating an assault that occurred at a licenced establishment on Raglan Street S in Renfrew on Sunday September 7 at 1:40 a.m. The victim reported being pushed to the floor and then had their head hit on the floor several times. The victim sustained injuries and was treated at hospital. As a result of his investigation, the officer arrested and charged Courtney Clouthier, 20, of Renfrew with assault. She was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on October 22.

Animal complaint
Police investigated after receiving a report that a working dog at the Renfrew Fair bit someone. The victim reported they were bitten by the dog on Thursday, September 4 in the afternoon. The dog was with security personnel at the Fair. The victim attended the hospital for medical treatment and then reported the incident. No charges were laid.

Theft
Since the fall of 2013 someone has been stealing hydraulic hoses from farm equipment at a farm on Yantha Road in McNab Braeside Township. The thefts have been ongoing and involve hydraulic pumps and hoses.

Two cords of firewood were stolen from a property on River Road in the Township of McNab Braeside. The thief used a half ton truck to remove the wood. The theft occurred sometime in the month of September.

Mischief
On Sunday, September 7 shortly after midnight someone threw eggs at a home and vehicle on Queen Street S in Renfrew. Minor damage was done to the home.

Sometime Sunday night to Monday morning someone attended the Renfrew Golf Club and used a liquid of some type to damage one of the greens.

Liquor Licence Act
On Saturday, September 6 at 2:20 p.m. one male was warned for consuming open alcohol in a public place. The officer who was on bike patrol, observed the male consuming beer on Argyle Street.

On Sunday, September 7 at 12:10 a.m. a driver was stopped on Eighth Street for a driving offence. The 16-year-old driver was charged with being under 19 yrs of age and consuming alcohol, and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) above 0. The vehicle was driven away by another driver. Provincial Constable Rick Shikatani investigated.
