RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is excited to announce the Pembroke Breastfeeding Drop-In is continuing, as a result of the successful pilot that was offered earlier this summer.

Breastfeeding families who attend the drop-in will receive one-on-one support and counselling from a Public Health Nurse breastfeeding specialist. This drop-in is being offered to support breastfeeding in the Pembroke area, but is open to all families living in Renfrew County and District.

Dr. Koudra of the West Champlain Family Health Team (WCFHT), in collaboration with RCDHU, has volunteered office space for the program. Breastfeeding drop-in clients do not need to be patients of the WCFHT to attend.

The breastfeeding drop-in takes place at the WCFHT (315 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke, Ontario) every Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except on statutory holidays.
