(Pembroke) On March 3rd, residents across the Ottawa Valley tuned into 104.9 MyFM as the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation (PRHF) hosted its 5th annual Connect to Care Radiothon and raised an amazing $45,140 for the Cancer Care Campaign which will help fund the expansion and upgrades of the Chemotherapy and Medical Day Care units at the Pembroke Regional Hospital!

Since gathering restrictions and COVID safety measures prevented us from getting together at the Pembroke Mall as we have in the past, this year’s Radiothon took place exclusively on MyFM, online and with the help of our many “Community Ambassadors” who raised much needed funds leading up to the event day.

“We couldn’t have done it without all the amazing ambassadors, sponsors and donors. Thank you for helping us reach over $45,000 and supporting your local hospital,” said Leigh Costello, Community Fundraising Specialist for the PRHF.

“Despite challenges in today’s climate, we are once again blown away by the support received from our community,” said Roger Martin, PRHF Executive Director.

Thank you to Connect to Care Radiothon sponsors: 104.9 MyFM, Frank Carroll Financial, Bennett Electric, OK Tire Pembroke and Lindsey Cupelli – The Mortgage Advisors.

If you are interested in making a donation to our Cancer Care Campaign, please email [email protected] or call (613) 732-2811, extension 6129.

All contributions and support are greatly appreciated as we work together to bring state-of-the-art health care to Renfrew County families.
