 Pembroke resident wanted on robbery charges

RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) —The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating after a customer was robbed of their opioid prescription at a Pembroke Street East pharmacy in Pembroke on November 22.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. a disguised person, who was in possession of a weapon, stole the prescription from the victim inside the pharmacy. The victim was not injured and the robber fled on foot. 

As a result of this investigation an arrest warrant has been issued for 34-year old Joel David Visutskie of Pembroke who is wanted for the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Robbery with theft
  • Disguise with intent
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) is assisting with the investigation.
