The Cobden and District Civitan Club recently doanted $1,500 to the Cobden Farmers Market to help with the costs associated with the repairs to the market hall. The hall had been damaged when a water pipe in the ceiling burst in early December. This Saturday is opening day at the Market, which is at the Cobden Fairgrounds.
The spring Household Hazardous Waste Day was hosted by the Environmental Services Department of Whitewater Region on Saturday at the Mineview Road municipal garage. Department Manager Steve Hodson told council at its meeting Wednesday night that it was an average turn-out.
The Git’Er Done Mud Run is Saturday, May 28 at Wilderness Tours. It’s a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society.
