    1. I will be seeking re-election for Reeve to continue to represent Whitewater Region at the County Level. I was successful in getting increased paramedic help in Whitewater. If re-elected I will continue to get further improvements. As a member of the CPR Committee I will continue to be a spokesperson for the many farmers land that this new trail will affect. I believe my past experience as Warden of Renfrew County and Chairperson of Development and Property and Social Services along with my seven years as Mayor of Whitewater I can bring a lot of knowledge and history to this new Council.

    2. The Role of Reeve is to replace the Mayor at meetings or other Mayor duties as assigned in his/her absence and to attend and participate in all County meetings.

    3. I helped at the food booths for the Beachburg and Cobden agricultural societies during the fair. I am a member of the Cobden Civitan Club working at many functions and fundraisers on their behalf. I assist at the annual Terry Fox run held at Logos Land.

    4. I have over 40 years experience in Business Management specializing in contract negotiations at a Senior Management level. I am a team player and bring 30 years experience in municipal politics having filled positions as Councillor, Deputy-Reeve, Mayor and two years of Warden at Renfrew County.

    5.
Continue to oppose the Endangers Species Act and policing rates. Proceed with lobbying the Provincial Government to increase the gas tax funding. Oppose the Provincial Government from reducing how they assess hydro dams and poles etc. as over the next 3 years Whitewater Region will lose approximately $35,000 in revenue.

    6. I would continue to promote Whitewater Township at County as tourism and agriculture are our largest assets. County Planning Department must support Whitewater in severance applications that does not interfere with our agricultural community operations. We must continue to promote Whitewater as a place to raise and keep our families here through economic growth and development, schools and recreation facilities.

    7. We must continue to pressure the County and Provincial Government to increase the Gas Tax Fund and as infrastructure money becomes available as indicated by the Premier we must have engineered road work ready and completed to apply for these funds.

    8. No answer but the question is similar to #9

    9. When new roads or bridges are required and because farm equipment is getting heavier and wider than previous the Engineers, Public Works Manager and Farmers representatives must work together to come up with some solution that works for everyone.

    10. Where does agriculture fit into your economic development priorities for the County?

    11. How do you feel about paved/tar and chips roads going back to gravel roads?

    12. Currently we have a committee made up from different groups including Agricultural working to clean up Muskrat Lake. They will work with our MPP to help get support from the Provincial Government. If this committee runs into difficulty in getting help in their efforts I would be willing to pursue the Provincial Government on their behalf.

    13. What can county council do to protect lakes that are currently clean from becoming like Muskrat Lake?

    14. I am currently on CPR Rail Bed Committee made up of three elected Renfrew County Officials, Lanark and Papineau Counties. We are currently negotiating with CPR officials from Toronto to make this rail bed a trail from Smith Falls to Mattawa. The type of trails have not been determined at this time.

    15. There have been various reports regarding the high cost of what policing could be in area municipalities next year. Since it is a bill that must be paid, what would you will be suggesting municipalities give up so they can balance their budgets?

    16. For over 20 years while our family was playing sports I worked and coached with hockey and ball associations throughout Whitewater Region. It gave me an understanding of the importance of maintaining a variety of sports and other activities for our youth. We must continue to support this practice. I worked at Timinco Metals for over 40 years as Supervisor, last 15 years as Distribution Manager responsible for purchasing goods and services with a $10 million budget. My peers at County Council elected me for two successions as Warden of Renfrew County. This was an honour that carried a big responsibility that I fulfilled. I was Warden in 2010 during the 150th Anniversary of Renfrew County. We hosted a successful event at the Pembroke Airport where over 30,000 people attended this 5 day event.
