RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — Thanks to a $400 donation from the Rotary Club of Renfrew (RCoR), Bonnechere Manor (BM) residents now have five additional hearing amplification systems which can be used to help improve communications for residents with hearing impairments.

BM “friendly visiting” volunteer and long time Renfrew Rotarian, Larry Holden, has been using a facility-hearing amplifier to aid in his conversations while visiting residents. Mr. Holden noted additional hearing amplifiers would help a greater number of residents participate in conversations and improve quality of life.

Mr. Holden approached the RCoR on behalf of BM, and RCoR generously donated $400. This allowed the Client Programs Department to purchase five additional “Super Ears”. BM expressed thanks to Mr. Holden and the Rotary Club of Renfrew for helping their residents improve communication with their loved ones.
