Side Walk Parking

I have a question for our Council members. Why is it that in Cobden, Beachburg and Lapasse you are not allowed to park on the sidewalk but in the village of Foresters Falls anyone who wants to park on the sidewalk can do so. I made a phone call to council last summer and ask about the parking bylaw in Foresters Falls and they couldn’t give me a straight answer. After talking to police they told to tak to my local council. I have a 3 year old granddaughter that likes to go for a walk with me and when you try to walk down the street you have to have to go out onto the pavement around the many cars that are parked on the sidewalk. Young new mothers are having to do the same thing with their babies in strollers because of parked cars on the sidewalk.
So to our Whitewater council members, what’s the difference between the village of Foresters Falls and Cobden, Beachburg and Lapasse ? Why is it allowed in Foresters Falls and no where else ? Concerned Gramma ,Peg Waite
