More rain – but really just drizzling. Didn’t get too wet – just my feet (boots were supposed to be waterproof!).

This morning as we were playing our Harley song during the morning meeting the hotel clerk came out and asked us to turn it off – not very accommodating considering how many rooms that the Posse Ride had actually occupied and if they can’t wait for one song – oh well – we ride on!! It is quite a tune and everyone seems to be enjoying it as we get to learn the words more than “rollin, rollin, rollin – keep those Harley’s rollin”. Maybe by the end of the ride we will know all the words!

This morning my group headed off second and finished first though! The first part of the ride going up the Vosgos Mountains was a little scary for me. I am not sure if it was the fishtail yesterday with my bike or the guy in front of me that kind of made me think too much about the corners but they were just not working for me this morning. We stopped and it seemed everyone wanted to teach me how to ride corners (well the people at home know I can ride corners and actually love them) so I sucked it up and when we started again went to the back of the line and followed Sam who gave me my groove back! He is a great rider and I was easily able to follow him without any problems going forward. Thank God as I was getting worried that I would have problems with the Alps tomorrow. Hopefully not – I just have to remember to suck it up and get it rolling! It is hard when you don’t have your own bike and you worry I think more about damaging a rental than you would your own bike – but of course you are used to your own bike too. We had some hair pin turns and some great wandering curves.

This afternoon we stopped at a ski chalet for lunch and another group met up with us for lunch. The roads we were riding on are the same roads that they use for the Tour de France. There were bicycles on them today and I cannot imagine flying down those hills on a skinny tire let alone climbing them without an engine!

On the final leg to the hotel we were met by Geert who had arranged for some of the members of the local HOG Chapter to lead us to their Harley Davidson dealer. It is a beautiful store and I can’t imagine how anyone actually finds them as they are tucked in a small village just outside of Biel. However just think of the ride there and back – it is beautiful and well worth the ride.

As we were riding to the hotel I remembered that this is the city that Rolex watches are made and we happened to ride past the building where they are manufactured – so I snapped a picture. Wish I could afford to bring one of those back for Paul.

We arrived at the hotel around 7:00 with just enough time to take a shower and get ready for supper at 8:00. Supper was at the hotel which was nice as we did not have to walk any where.

Tomorrow we head out on the road at 8:30 again and I change groups to “The Lost Boyscouts” Interestingly enough they do tend to get lost or lose people everyday. I hope it is not me who gets lost as I don’t have the luxury of having a GPS on my bike. I told George who is one of the leaders of “the lost boyscouts” not to lose me! I know if it were up to him – he might – thankfully Lorraine is with him on the back (they call it pilon) and she will make sure he finds me! We will arrive in Geneva, Switzerland and will have a leisure day on Saturday! I will enjoy that and hope the local chapter doesn’t want to start too early for a ride out,
