John Purdon presented to the Council about the Tour de Whitewater, outlining their intent to hold the cycling competition on July 6th of this year.

He said that there would be lunch as well as the cycling and that he hoped the weather would ‘cooperate’.

Councillor Connie Tabbert, who was involved in the Tour the Whitewater team, asked how many were currently registered for the event.

Purdon said there were 70 registrations: “It’s a little soft for where we are, but we had a late start.”

“How do people actually sponsor?” Chris Olmstead asked.

“We did submit a grant request to the Council.” Purdon said.

He referred Councillor Olmstead to John Wheeler to donate directly.
