RENFREW COUNTY (Douglas) — The Bromley Historical Society will host a genealogical talk, From Scotland to Douglas: The MacGregor Clan on Sunday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m.
Since retirement, well-known Douglas resident Mr. Jim MacGregor has been researching and documenting information on his family in Canada and Scotland.
He twice attended a Clan Gregor gathering and has made use of his grandmother’s scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and ship lists in 1818.
This free presentation will take place in the Old Town Hall on Micksburg Road in Osceola, Ont. It will be of interest to those who are researching their family roots and those fascinated by local history.
Refreshments will be served following the question and answer period. This free event is open to everyone.
