RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — Between Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 16 motor vehicle collisions (MVC) in the detachment area.

The majority of the collisions occurred during adverse weather conditions with blowing snow and winds on Saturday afternoon and evening.  No serious injuries were reported as a result of the numerous collisions.

With winter weather here to stay, motorists are reminded to remove any accumulated snow on their vehicle prior to starting out and to adjust their driving behaviours when winter driving conditions arise. STAY ALERT. SLOW DOWN. STAY IN CONTROL.
