FORESTERS FALLS — Whitewater Museum held its annual plant sale Saturday, June 3rd in Foresters Falls.
Lawrie Barton, Joanne Pratt and student Travis Turcotte from the museum were at the sale to answer questions and accept the money.
It was an overcast, long-sleeve sweater day, unusual for this time of year.
Travis is the current summer student and lives in Osceola. He will return to Memorial University, St John’s, Newfoundland in the fall for his final year, to earn a Master’s Degree in music. His instrument of choice is the classical guitar.
It happened that last year’s summer student, Destiny Hansma, was there buying plants. She will be returning to Queen’s University in September to finish up a degree in Commerce.
Ms. Pratt, the official gardener at the museum, is offering two workshops this summer; twig-making, such as wattle fences from dogwood and another in calligraphy.
