Woman hides in the bushes

A woman is facing charges after a witness reported to the Renfrew OPP that a car drove into a ditch on Highway 17 at McLean Drive in McNab Braeside Township around 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The female driver fled the scene and was located a short distance away hiding in the long grass.
She was arrested for impaired driving and returned to the detachment for breath tests.
Following the investigation Alison Trowbridge, 55, of Arnprior, was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs.
She was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on October 22.

A bank card was reported stolen to police on Tuesday September 23.
The victim reported the card was stolen the night before and when they went to the bank to cancel the card, they learned money had been withdrawn from their account using the card.
Following an investigation Kyle East, 25, of Renfrew, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.
He was released on an undertaking and a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on October 22.
Provincial Constable Marc Bennett investigated.
