Greetings from the Women’s Institute for the District of North Renfrew. The following branch has reported on their meeting and activities for the month of Dec. 2021.

Greenwood: Members met on Dec. 14th at the Francophone Cultural Center in Pembroke for their Christmas dinner meeting.
Following the Institute Grace, a delicious dinner was provided by Ulrich’s Catering. The dining area was beautifully decorated by the W.I. Committee members Teuna Cotnam, Cindy McConnell and Helen Coburn.

Santa and his helper arrived later and distributed gifts to the members and they found out who their secret friend had been during 2021. Names were drawn for secret friends in 2022.
Kathy Bennett had several items of clothing on display which were purchased with money from the branch account, together with clothing and donations to the Food Bank that were donated by the members, and given to needy families.

With assistance from the County and the Michael Bennett Foundation, the branch was able to help 10 needy children for Christmas.

During the months of Jan. and Feb. 2022, the meetings will be held via Zoom due to the pandemic.
