The Council of Whitewater Region heard a notice of motion that:

  1. That Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approve the designation of lands not subject to Part-Lot Control, for Lots 16 to 23 of Plan 49M-106, Bamagillia Street, Wren Subdivision Phase 2.
  2. That Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approve the designation and dedication of lands known as Bamagillia Street, Wren Drive and Morrison Drive as part of a public highway.

“Right now the Township holds the authority of land changes.” Burton said “This suspends our control in order for them to make some changes.”

He said they would end up with three lots with each holding six semi-detached.

Charlene Jackson asked how much work had been done before the second lift on the roads.

Burton said he believed 90% had to be completed to prevent damage to the road.

Nicholson asked the meaning of the name of the street.

Burton confirmed that the developer chose and they would confirm with the county.

He said Bamagillia was chosen in 2019.

Councillor Jackson firmed that it refers to a kind of tree local to the area, a poplar tree.

The motion was Carried.
