The Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approved an amendment to the zoning category of the property described as Part of Lot 16, Westmeath Concession 7 EML, Lookout Road.
The application was submitted by Barry Neumanhouse, and he’d submitted two severance applications to create two new residential properties in 2021.
Burton said that one of the required amendments was to rezone the property to the rural exception zone.
“These properties are kind of on the periphery of the zone so it won’t have an aggregate impact on the property.”
“The properties in question are also in an area of natural and scientific interest, the Pretty Hills area Antsy, “a representation of the former Champlain Sea” .”
There were no questions and no applicants present, and the motion was carried.
