The Council heard the application to accept the purchase of a set of 4 Rotary Lifts from ISN Canada Group Holdings Inc. For $59,590.66.

Lane Cleroux said that their budget allowed for $66,000 dollars.

Councillor McLaughlin asked if one of the bays will use the lifts, which Cleroux said would not inhibit truck storage there.

Councillor Nicholson asked about the two bids made, which Cleroux confirmed that one of the bids was “the same price as the old model.”

Councillor Olmstead asked why the lifts were purchased and if they would be brought to the field.

Clereux clarified that it would not be brought to the field.

Appointment of Emergency Management Program Committee and Control Group

The Council heard a motion to approve emergency management related appointments and terms of reference.

“They’re the group that puts together the plan.” Clerk Carmen Miller said.

She they’d decided to go with the IMS standardized structure because it was used for over 30 municipalities.

“Once the membership is approved, the membership committee will meet to admit the emergency plan.”

There were no questions and the motion was carried.
